Dr Subhakar is new Chairman of ICS South Zone
The ICS elections 2020 for its members were held between November 20 and 30, across its chapters.
Hyderabad: Senior pulmonologist from Hyderabad and an authority on Tuberculosis (TB), Dr Subhakar Kandi has been elected as the Chairman, Indian Chest Society (ICS), South Zone. The ICS elections 2020 for its members were held between November 20 and 30, across its chapters.
“It is with great humility that I want to thank the members of ICS for electing me to serve as South Zone Chairman. I will strive hard to live up to the expectations of the members of the ICS,” Dr Subhakar said. Dr Subhakar served as Professor of Pulmonology Medicine, Osmania Medical College and Government Chest Hospital in Erragadda. The senior pulmonologist was the State coordinator for H1N1 influenza and Ebola and Chairman for zonal task force of Revised National TB Control Programme (RNTCP).
