DRDA officer gets struck in IDOC lift in Sircilla
DRDA Assistant Project Director Kura Narsimhulu was trapped inside a malfunctioning lift at the Integrated District Officers Complex in Rajanna-Sircilla for nearly 90 minutes. Staff later rescued him and raised concerns over poor lift maintenance affecting employees and visitors
Rajanna-Sircilla: Assistant Project Director, District Rural Development Authority (DRDA), Kura Narsimhulu got stuck in the lift at the Integrated District Officers Complex (IDOC) on Tuesday.
Narsimhulu, who arrived at the IDOC, boarded the lift on the ground floor to reach the upper floor. However, the lift got stuck midway due to technical problems.
He faced severe difficulty in breathing and called his colleagues seeking help. The office staff managed to open the lift and rescue him after nearly 90 minutes.
Expressing anger over the incident, IDOC staff said they were facing severe difficulties every day due to poor maintenance of the lift. Aged people, women employees and physically challenged persons were completely dependent on the lift to reach the upper floors. Therefore, it was necessary to maintain the lift properly, they said.
