DRDO joins pandemic fight, arranges oxygen cylinders
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Missile Complex, DRDO, Hyderabad, handed over 50 oxygen cylinders each to Secunderabad Cantonment and TTD apart from 100 oxygen cylinders to the AP government

Hyderabad: To help meet the urgent requirement of oxygen supply at hospitals and medical institutions in various parts of the country, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is arranging oxygen cylinders from its resources.
On May 1, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Missile Complex, DRDO, Hyderabad, handed over 50 oxygen cylinders each to Secunderabad Cantonment and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) apart from 100 oxygen cylinders to the Andhra Pradesh government.
Certified by Bureau of Indian Standards and approved by PESA (Petroleum & Explosives Safety Organisation), these high pressure seamless cylinders are of 46.7 liters water capacity each and can be pressurised upto 150 bars. Each of these cylinders can store 7,000 liters of oxygen, a press release said.
