Basing on specific information, DRI officials searched the bus and found four packets containing the suspected narcotic substance concealed beneath mattresses in sleeper berths. The substance tested positive for methamphetamine using a field-testing kit.
A preliminary enquiry revealed that the passengers occupying the berths from which the packets were recovered had boarded the bus in Bhopal and alighted at Nagpur, said officials.
