Drinking water supply to be interrupted for 24 hours from 6 am on Jan 11 in parts of Hyderabad

The HMWSSB informed the consumers that works will be taken up to clean Himayat Sagar Reservoir forebay, Miralam filter beds, settling tanks and inlet channels

Hyderabad: The drinking water supply in several parts of the city will be interrupted for 24 hours from 6 am on January 11.

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board in a press release informed the consumers that works will be taken up to clean Himayat Sagar Reservoir forebay, Miralam filter beds, settling tanks and inlet channels. Due to these works, there will be a complete interruption in drinking water supply in many areas and a partial interruption in some other areas.


The HMWSSB said the cleaning work will be carried out from 6 am on January 11 to 6 am of January 12.

The affected areas include Hassan Nagar, Kishan Bagh, Doodh Bowli, Misrigunj, Patherghatti, Dar-ul-shifa, Moghalpura, Jahanuma, Chandulal Baradari, Falaknuma, Jangammet. Consumers in the areas affected by the water supply disruption were requested to use water sparingly.
