Drithi Kesari’s six-wicket haul powers Hyderabad to win over Saurashtra
Off-spinner Drithi Kesari claimed six wickets for 20 runs as Hyderabad defeated Saurashtra by 86 runs in the BCCI Women’s Under-23 One-Day Cricket Championship in Dehradun after Sandhya Gore’s half-century powered the team to a competitive total.
Hyderabad: Off-spinner Drithi Kesari produced a dream spell of six for 20 to help Hyderabad record an 86-run win against Saurashtra in the BCCI women’s (under-23) one-day cricket championship in Dehradun on Saturday.
Batting first, Hyderabad scored 241 for nine in 50 overs with Sandhya Gore (67) being the top-scorer. K. Niteesha (43) and M.Mamatha (45 n.o.) chipped in with handy contributions.
In reply, Saurashtra was bowled out for 155 in 37.3 overs with Drithi bring the wrecker-in-chief.
The scores: At Dehradun: Hyderabad 241/9 in 50 overs (Sandhya Gora 67, K Niteesha 43, M. Mamata 45no, Ashaba 3/40) bt Saurashra 155 in 37.3 overs (Saloni 32, Krishas 31, Kesari Drithi 6/20).
At Hyderabad: D-Division Institution one-day league: LIC 97 in 25 overs (D. Anil Kumar 3/15) lost to TGSRTC 100/6 in 12.2 overs (D Anil Kumar 49).
