Driver killed as tractor overturns in Adilabad

A 28-year-old tractor driver, Jadhav Gnaneshwar, died after the vehicle overturned near a bridge at Lendiguda village in Echoda mandal of Adilabad district. He was transporting a cultivator for repairs when the accident occurred. Police have registered a case.

Adilabad: A driver was killed on the spot when the tractor he was driving overturned near a bridge at Lendiguda village in Echoda mandal on Monday.

Police said the deceased, identified as Jadhav Gnaneshwar (28), a resident of Fakirnaik Thanda, sustained fatal injuries after being trapped under the tractor when it lost balance on a bumpy stretch of road near the bridge. He died on the spot.

He was reportedly on his way to Sirikonda mandal to transport a cultivator for repairs when the mishap occurred.

His father, Jadhav Prakash, lodged a complaint with the police. A case has been registered and investigations are underway.
