Tadepalli: The number of COVID active cases has come down below the 50,000 mark in Andhra Pradesh with the positivity rate pegged at 5.23 per cent.
Addressing a review meeting of COVID situation in the state on Friday, Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy said less than five per cent cases were reported in six districts–Kadapa, Guntur, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Nellore and Kurnool.
Also, the recovery rate in Andhra Pradesh at 96.67 was higher than the national average of 96.59, he observed.
Treatment was being provided under the Aarogyasri scheme for 76.51 per cent beds in private hospitals, Jagan said, and noted that the calls to 104 had reduced considerably.
He called for special focus on sanitation and food in hospitals and constant monitoring of the situation.
