The main accused, Mohd Sharik, a rowdy sheeter from Chandrapur in Maharashtra, and Love Preet Singh from Bowenpally, reportedly smuggled marijuana from Maharashtra to Hyderabad. According to police, Singh rented a car to procure the drugs from Sharik and planned to sell them in the city for profit.
Three local drug users were also apprehended. Another accused, Mubeen from Chandrapur — believed to be the main supplier — is currently absconding. Police said efforts are underway to trace and arrest him.
