Drunk auto driver rams into constable during check in Banjara Hills

A drunk auto-rickshaw driver allegedly rammed into a police constable during drunk driving checks in Banjara Hills on Friday night. The injured constable was shifted to hospital and is stated to be stable. Police have registered a case and are investigating.

Hyderabad: A drunk auto-rickshaw driver allegedly rammed into a police constable during an enforcement against drunk driving at Banjara Hills on Friday night.

The incident occurred on Road No 14 while police personnel were conducting routine drunk driving checks.


According to police, the auto driver, who was heavily intoxicated, drove the vehicle towards the officers, injuring Constable Shankar. The constable was immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment, and his condition is said to be stable.

The Banjara Hills police registered a case and took up an investigation into the incident
