Drunk man bludgeons father to death over argument in Shamirpet
The suspect A Narasimha (28), a construction worker from Peddamma Colony in Shamirpet is addicted to alcohol. He often picked up fights in an inebriated condition. Due to his drinking habit, his wife left him. He was staying with his parents and siblings.
Hyderabad: A man, who in an inebriated condition, allegedly bludgeoned his father to death with a stone over an argument for damaging an aquarium at their house in Shamirpet, was arrested on Wednesday.
The suspect A Narasimha (28), a construction worker from Peddamma Colony in Shamirpet is addicted to alcohol. He often picked up fights in an inebriated condition. Due to his drinking habit, his wife left him. He was staying with his parents and siblings.
According to the police, on January 14, Narasimha’s mother and sister were arguing over a saree selection during which his mother’s hand accidentally hit the fish aquarium, leading to its fall and getting damaged.
Angered by it, Narasimha who was in an inebriated condition, abused and hit his mother with a broom stick. Noticing it, Narasimha’s father A Hanumanth (50), a labourer intervened and tried to stop him.
Then, a furious Narasimha grabbed a brick from a nearby spot in the house and attacked his father on his head multiple times, resulting in grievous injuries and death on the spot.
Based on a complaint, the Shamirpet police booked a case and arrested Narasimha.
