Mancherial: A drunkard hacked his son to death following family disputes at Rajivnagar in Srirampur on Tuesday and surrendered himself to the police.
Srirampur Inspector Raju said that the victim was Kanukutla Raj Kumar (32) of Rajivnagar and the son of Komaraiah, an SCCL employee.
Komaraiah, in fit of rage, assaulted Raj Kumar with an axe, resulting in instantaneous death for the latter. He picked up an argument with his son over some petty issue. They were at loggerheads for harassing Komaraiah’s wife by suspecting her fidelity.
Raj Kumar was staying idle after completing a polytechnic course. Komaraiah was addicted to liquor and was quarrelling with his son at regular intervals. Based on a complaint received from the wife of Komaraiah, a case was registered against him.
