Drunken father slams 1-year-old daughter to death in Suryapet
A one-year-old girl in Suryapet died after her drunk father allegedly slammed her against the floor during a quarrel at home. The child suffered fatal injuries and succumbed despite medical care. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
Suryapet: A one-year-old girl, Bhavigna, was brutally killed by her father, Venkatesh, in Suryapet town on Friday night.
According to police, the incident occurred around midnight when Venkatesh returned home drunk. His wife tried to calm him and stop him from creating a disturbance, but the situation escalated. As their daughter began crying inconsolably, Venkatesh, in a fit of rage, allegedly grabbed her by the legs and repeatedly slammed her against the floor.
The child suffered severe head injuries and internal trauma. She was shifted to the Government General Hospital in Suryapet, where she was placed on a ventilator. Despite efforts by doctors, she succumbed to her injuries on Saturday morning.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
