Dry weather likely to prevail in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: After the sudden rains on Saturday, the city weather has been mostly dry and hot. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature in the city was 31.9 degree Celsius, while the lowest minimum temperature was 23 degree Celsius.

Only a few areas, including Shaikpet and Bahadurpura, reported very light drizzle of 0.8 mm. The city has received 863 mm rainfall since the start of the monsoon season on June 1, against the normal 658.1 mm, which is 31.1 per cent in excess. Saidabad area has recorded the highest rainfall in the city of 1,103.2 mm, which is about 75 per cent more than normal.


As per the data recorded at various Automatic Weather Stations by Telangana State Development Planning Society, Hyderabad is likely to witness dry and hot weather for the next couple of days. However, there can be light to moderate thundershowers at a few places. The maximum temperature in the city during the period is expected to be in the range of 31 to 32 degree Celsius, while the minimum temperature will be in the range of 20 to 22 degree Celsius.

A few districts, including Nagarkurnool, Siddipet, Medak, Peddapalli and Nizamabad recorded rainfall up to 4.8 mm till Tuesday evening.
