Hyderabad: The southwest monsoon has completely withdrawn from entire Telangana resulting in the rise of temperature across the state.
However, in Hyderabad, although the days are hot, the night temperatures have started dipping. On Saturday, the maximum temperature recorded in the city was 33.2 degree Celsius, which is at least two degrees higher than normal, while the lowest minimum temperature was recorded as 18.4 degree Celsius. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD)-Hyderabad officials, there will be a slight nip in the air soon. Winter is likely to set in the city by mid-November.
Across the state too, the days have seen the mercury going up compared to last weeks. On Saturday, Khammam recorded the maximum temperature in the state of 34.2 degree Celsius. Several other districts including Nalgonda, Wanaparthy, Suryapet, Yadadri Bhongir, Bhadradri Kothagudem and Jagtial are also experiencing high temperatures ranging between 30 to 35 degree Celsius.
According to the data recorded at various Automatic Weather Stations (AWS) by Telangana State Development Planning Society, the officials forecast that the dry weather in the city will continue to prevail for atleast the next three days. The maximum temperature in the city during the period is expected to be in the range of 30 to 32 degree Celsius, while the minimum temperature will be in the range of 18 to 20 degree Celsius.
