Eagle Force busts interstate Alprazolam trafficking network, three arrested
The Eagle Force and Nizamabad Rural Police busted an interstate Alprazolam trafficking network operating across Telangana, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. Officials seized 1.087 kg of the drug, cash, vehicles and phones, while tracing assets allegedly acquired from drug proceeds.

Hyderabad: The Eagle Force, along with Nizamabad Rural Police, has busted an interstate Alprazolam trafficking network operating across Telangana, Rajasthan and Maharashtra and seized 1.087 kg of Alprazolam worth Rs 10.87 lakh. Officials also seized Rs 3.5 lakh cash, two cars and five mobile phones.
In a case registered at Nizamabad Rural Police Station, Gandham Srinivas Goud, Botlakunta Katamaiah Goud and M Anil Goud were among those arrested.
A financial probe traced assets allegedly acquired from drug proceeds, including 4.20 acres of agricultural land, residence plots and vehicles.
Though valued at Rs 52 lakh as per government rates, their market value is estimated at Rs 3.02 crore.
The assets were forfeited under the NDPS Act.
Further investigation is underway to trace the entire interstate network and its financial transactions.
