Eagle Force, Miyapur police bust suspected MDMA supply chain

Hyderabad: The Eagle Force, along with Miyapur police, nabbed P Suresh Gopi with 14 Ecstasy (MDMA) pills weighing 9 grams near Miyapur Metro station on Thursday.

According to police, Gopi, a native of Miryalaguda and a resident of LB Nagar, allegedly procured 29 MDMA pills from Mumbai-based Danish Alam Ansari for Rs 22,500 on September 16.

He allegedly sold 15 pills to an associate identified as Munna from Goa and brought the remaining 14 to Hyderabad for supply.

Officials said Gopi had earlier sourced drugs from a person known as Baba from Goa and were probing the Goa-Mumbai-Hyderabad drug network.

Baba and Danish Alam Ansari are absconding.

Miyapur police are investigating the case.
