Hyderabad: The Eagle Force has sent nine minors, aged between 14 and 17 years, to de-addiction centres after their parents sought help through its toll-free helpline 1908.

In a Cyberabad case, six minors and two adults tested positive for narcotics, while a peddler, N Tushal (21), was arrested.

Cases were registered at Jeedimetla and Sanathnagar police stations under the NDPS and JJ Acts. In another Wanaparthy case, a minor tested negative but was counselled with the parents.

Officials urged families to overcome stigma and report drug abuse among children.
