The case was registered under section 188 IPC and section 51(b) of the Disaster Management Act 2005. Rajender held a street corner meeting near Hanuman temple in Huzurabad town where a large number of people participated in violation of the model code of conduct.
Based on a complaint lodged by the flying squad, they registered the case against Rajender, said V Srinivas, Huzurabad town CI, in a statement. The CI warned that cases would be registered and legal action would be taken if anyone organises meetings without following model code and Covid norms.
