Hyderabad: BJP MP and former Minister Eatala Rajender clarified that he had not officially received any notice yet from the Justice PC Ghose Commission on Kaleshwaram project, but assured he would fully cooperate with the inquiry once it arrives.

He was responding to media reports about the Commission serving notices to him along with former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and former Minister T Harish Rao.

“I am ready to face any inquiry as I have no role in design and construction of Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme. Just like any other department, I have allocated funds for the project,” he said, questioning the rationale behind the reports. He said upon receiving notices, he would discuss with the party leadership and proceed as per the high command’s direction. He added that he respected the law and would appear before the commission accordingly.

Targeting the Congress government, Rajender said the Revanth Reddy government could conduct any inquiry and that he was not afraid of threats. “We are at the Centre, and your entire history is in our hands,” he sad, in a veiled statement. He also questioned the repeated extensions for the PC Ghose Commission and whether it was being used for public interest or political blackmail.
