Karimnagar: Former Minister and BJP leader Eatala Rajender will embark on a padayatra in Huzurabad constituency. Though the date is yet to be finalised, the yatra will start from Gopalpur of Kamalapur mandal from either July 13 or 14. All villages in the constituency would be covered during the 350 to 400 km distance padayatra, which would conclude with a huge public meeting.
Announcing this to mediapersons at Huzurabad on Saturday, Rajender informed that he intends to meet all the people of the constituency during the yatra. He alleged that a special team led by a revenue division officer was registering fake votes in Huzurabad, Jammikunta and other major villages, with more than 30 votes from each household address. He claimed that many names of genuine voters were being deleted from the voters’ list.
Names of people from other constituencies were registered in Huzurabad. At the same time, names of genuine voters, who were against the TRS party, were deleted from voter lists.
It was a classic example of how fake votes were registered that 34 votes were recorded in the house of Huzurabad municipality chairman, he informed.
Rajender informed that a complaint was lodged with the Election Commission. The BJP party would intensify the agitation if the registration of fake votes was not stalled.
Commenting on Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister, Errabelli Dayakar Rao’s comments against a woman MPDO, BJP leader questioned that was it way to interact with a lady officer.
