Visakhapatnam: Police arrested eight persons in connection with the kidnap of three persons for not repaying loan.

After the victims were detained in a house in Sagarnagar, two of them managed to escape and complain to the police who swung into action to arrest the kidnappers.

According to police, three youths from Amalapuram– Kiran (27), Raju (27) and Jagadish (28) were working as drivers in travel agencies for livelihood. They took a room in a hotel near Baji Junction in the city.

Raju owed some money to Tarun of Kakinada and the latter arrived at the hotel with his men on November 26 night. When Raju was missing, he took Kiran away in his car. Again on the the next morning, Raju was whisked away by the gang which also abducted Jagadish later in the evening.

However, Kiran and Jagaiesh managed to escape on November 28 night and lodged a complaint with the Gopalapatnam police who arrested Tarun and other members of the gang.
