Eight injured as truck rams tractor carrying Ganesha idol in Siddipet

Eight devotees sustained injuries, four of them critically, when a speeding truck rammed into a tractor carrying a Ganesha idol near the Siddipet Collectorate on Sunday.

Siddipet: Eight persons sustained injuries as a speeding truck rammed into a tractor carrying Ganesha idol near Siddipet Collectorate on Sunday. Eight devotees, residents of Bhadradri Kothagudem district, were carrying the idol to Kothagudem from Korutla when the incident happened.

Four of them sustained serious injuries, and their condition is reported to be critical. They were rushed to the government hospital in Siddipet for treatment. Three-town Inspector T Lakshmi Babu registered a case and took the truck driver into custody.
