Eight students among 21 who tested positive for Covid in college in Mancherial

District Medical and Health Officer Dr Neeraja said the district had over 400 active cases including a cluster of over 20 cases in Bellampalli alone

Mancherial: A total of 13 staffers and eight students of Government Polytechnic College, Bellampalli, tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday, when 146 teachers and students were screened.

District Medical and Health Officer Dr Neeraja said the district had over 400 active cases including a cluster of over 20 cases in Bellampalli alone. She requested the public to wear face masks and practice physical distancing to check the spread of the virus.


Adilabad district recorded 33 positive cases on Tuesday, taking the total number of active cases to 358, of whom, 334 were in home isolation and 16 were being treated at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Adilabad.
