Eighth Oxygen Express arrives in Telangana

The express reached Sanath Nagar, loaded with 6 tankers filled with 87.85 tonnes of LMO.

Hyderabad: The 8th Oxygen Express reached Telangana on Wednesday as an initiative of Indian Railways to provide liquid medical oxygen (LMO) to various states pan-India. The express reached Sanath Nagar, loaded with 6 tankers filled with 87.85 tonnes of LMO.

Loaded from Angul in Odisha, the empty tankers sent from Hyderabad were filled in Angul, and carried the cryogenic cargo safely through the Green Corridors established by the Indian railways.


Along with Telangana, Andhra also received 110.28 tonnes of LMO through the state’s third and fourth Oxygen Expresses. A fifth oxygen express, with 65 tonnes of LMO is enroute.
