Elderly couple killed in road accident at Chevella

The victim Laxma Reddy (58) and his wife Bhagya Laxmi (55), were returning in a car after meeting their relatives when a lorry hit their vehicle at Mirjadiguda gate in Chevalla.

Hyderabad: An elderly couple were killed in a road accident at Chevella mandal of Ranga Reddy district on Sunday.

According to the police, the victim Laxma Reddy (58) and his wife Bhagya Laxmi (55), were returning in a car after meeting their relatives when a lorry hit their vehicle at Mirjadiguda gate in Chevalla, said sub inspector, Srikanth Reddy.

The couple sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. Laxma Reddy worked in a central government defence institution while Bhagya Laxmi, was a housewife. The couple had left early in the morning to meet their relatives and were returning home when the accident took place.

The bodies were shifted to local government hospital for post-mortem examination. A case is registered.
