Elderly farmer electrocuted in Nirmal

Nirmal: A farmer was electrocuted when he accidentally touched an electrified fence at Nazirabad hamlet under Rampur gram panchayat in Narsapur (G) mandal on Friday evening.
Narsapur (G) Sub-Inspector Sai Kiran said Bondugula Mallaiah, 55, died on the spot, when he came into contact with the fence meant for protecting his maize crop from being damaged by wild boars. He was found dead by other farmers early on Saturday morning.
Mallaiah is survived by his wife, son and daughter. His wife Chinnakka lodged a complaint with police. A case was registered. Investigations were taken up.
