Elderly man ends life after family scolds him over liquor addiction in Mancherial

Mancherial: An elderly man, said to be addicted to alcohol, died by suicide after being reprimanded by his family members at Kothapalli village in Thandur mandal on Thursday.
According to police, Peddinti Prabhakar (64) ended his life by jumping into an irrigation tank on the outskirts of the village. He had reportedly been addicted to liquor for a long time, often neglecting his family and troubling them for money to buy alcohol.
Prabhakar is survived by his wife, two sons, and a daughter.
