Elderly man mowed down by TSRTC bus in Mancherial

Mancherial: An elderly man died on the spot when a TSRTC bus mowed him down at a bus bay on the outskirts of Devulawada village in Kotapalli mandal on Monday.
Kotapalli Sub-Inspector Nagaraju said that the deceased person was Musuke Banaiah (70) of Annaram village in Kotapalli mandal.
Banaiah received fatal head injuries as the state-owned corporation’s bus dashed against him when he was standing at the bus bay, resulting in instantaneous death for him. It is learnt that he was taking shelter at the bay with none of his family members taking care of him for quite a long time.
Some bystanders who were waiting at the spot for buses alerted police, who rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Chennur government hospital for post-mortem.
A case was registered against the driver of the bus. Investigations were taken up.`
