Jagtial: An elderly woman was left in a graveyard by her sons. Though this incident took place eight days ago in Jagtial, it came to light on Wednesday.

A resident of Jagtial town, Rajavva had four sons. While one son allegedly thrashed her demanding her pension money, another one pushed her in inebriated condition as she refused to give him her pension. She suffered a leg fracture in the incident.

Later, the sons abandoned her in the Mothe graveyard where she faced severe hardships for eight days with the fractured leg. Local people, who found her in the graveyard, informed the matter to government officials.

Knowing about the incident, welfare department officials visited the spot and shifted Rajavva to hospital. District Welfare Officer Naresh said action would be initiated against her sons under the Senior Citizens Act.
