Elderly woman crushed to death by lorry in Mancherial

A 70-year-old woman was killed after a speeding lorry ran over her while she was crossing NH 363 at Repallewada village in Mancherial district on Thursday. Police suspect rash and negligent driving by the lorry driver caused the fatal accident.

Mancherial: An elderly woman was killed on the spot after a speeding lorry ran over her while she was crossing NH 363 at Repallewada village on Thursday.

Police said that Kattekola Bhudevi (70), wife of Chandraiah, sustained fatal injuries after coming under the wheels of the lorry. She died on the spot. Rash and negligent driving by the lorry driver is suspected to have caused the accident. The lorry was proceeding towards Mancherial at the time of the mishap.
