Elderly woman killed while crossing railway track in Warangal

According to reports, Tirupatamma was crossing the railway track to go to her fields

Warangal: A 64-year-old woman died after being hit by a train while crossing the railway track near Getupalli railway gate in Nekkonda mandal of the district on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Tirupatamma of Gollapally village.


According to reports, Tirupatamma was crossing the railway track to go to her fields, when a goods train passing by hit her, killing her on the spot.

Other passersby informed the Government Railway Police, who shifted the body to the government hospital for postmortem. A case was registered and investigation is underway.eom
