Election officer R V Karnan reviews poll arrangements for Jubilee Hills by-election

District Election Officer R V Karnan inspected polling arrangements for the Jubilee Hills by-election on November 11. He directed officials to ensure essential amenities like ramps, toilets, and lighting, with special focus on PwDs and senior citizens

Hyderabad: District Election Officer, R V Karnan, on Thursday directed the officials to ensure that all assured minimum facilities were available in every polling station for the Jubilee Hills assembly by poll on November 11.

Karnan also inspected the Distribution, Reception and Counting (DRC) Centre at Kotla Vijayabhaskar Reddy Stadium, and several polling stations, including Daksha School, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School, and Government High School, Yousufguda.


The officials were asked to pay special attention to the needs of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and senior citizens at the polling centres. Ramps, drinking water, toilets, adequate lighting, and proper signage will be available at all polling stations, a press release said.
