Electric bike gutted due to short circuit in Toopran

An electric bike was gutted in a fire suspected to have been caused by a short circuit in Toopran town of Medak district. The incident occurred early Tuesday morning, damaging cables and drainage pipes. Residents failed to douse the flames.

Medak: An electric bike, which was parked on the premises of a house, was gutted due to a possible short circuit in Toopran town in the early hours of Tuesday. The bike owner Chandrashekhar Reddy charged his bike on Monday night and parked it. The bike caught fire at 3 am, when the residents woke up and tried to douse the flames. However, they failed in their attempt. The fire also gutted electric cables and drainage pipes in the house.
