Electrician attacked with knife over power outage delay in Pahadishareef
An electrician, Jameel, suffered bleeding injuries after being attacked with a knife by a local resident, Babu Jani, at Wadi-e-Mustafa, Pahadishareef, on Friday. The attack followed an argument over delays in restoring power supply. Police have arrested the accused.

HYDERABAD: An electrician suffered bleeding wounds when a man attacked him with a knife at Wadi e Mustafa, Pahadishareef on Friday evening.
According to the police, the victim Jameel, along with a TGSPDCL lineman was rectifying electricity transformer following frequent power outages on Friday at Wadi e Mustafa.
However, throughout the day, the snag couldn’t be rectified.
A local resident Babu Jani who was angry over the power outages picked up a quarrel with Jameel questioning the inordinate delay in restoration the power supply leading to argument between them.
Soon both of them hit each other and exchanged blows. On noticing it, the local people intervened and dispersed them.
According to the police, a few minutes later Jameel went near the house of Jani and noticing it the latter came out with a knife and attacked Jameel who suffered bleeding injuries.
Jameel was shifted to hospital. On information the Balapur police reached the spot and took Jani into custody. A case is registered.
