Electricity artisans call off strike after talks with Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka
Electricity artisans called off their strike after discussions with Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka at Praja Bhavan. The government assured resolution of their issues through dialogue with TRANSCO officials, citing summer demand and the need for uninterrupted power supply.

Hyderabad: Even as the artisans continue their strike at GTS Colony and other places, Electricity Artisans Joint Action Committee (JAC) Chairman Satish Reddy announced that the strike has been called off immediately.
He made this announcement following Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka’s directions to hold discussions with the TRANSCO CMD on their issues.
The JAC leaders met the Deputy Chief Minister at Praja Bhavan here on Friday. Artisans JAC Convener Sailu expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Deputy CM for responding positively to their concerns and permitting discussions with senior officials.
The Deputy Chief Minister pointed out that since there was a ban on strikes. With electricity demand reaching peak levels during the summer, it was not appropriate to resort to a sudden strike, he said.
He reiterated that issues can be resolved through dialogue and assured that the government was considering the artisans’ concerns from a humanitarian perspective. The government was always open to discussions with electricity unions and is committed to resolving their issues, he stated
The Deputy Chief Minister further said that the TRANSCO CMD Krishna Bhaskar would hold discussions with the Artisans JAC on issues that can be resolved without imposing financial burden, besides efforts would also be made to address their concerns.
