Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Staff members of an electricity distribution company had a thrilling experience after spotting a tiger while engaged in line maintenance work at Pulzhari village in Mul tehsil of Chandrapur district. A video of the incident went viral on social media platforms on Sunday.
Employees of Mahavitaran were shocked after noticing a tiger suddenly emerge from nearby bushes while they were on duty near the village. They quickly climbed an electricity pole instead of fleeing and clung to it for nearly an hour to save their lives. They got down only after the tiger wandered back into the forest.
Recalling the terrifying experience, the employees said the tiger circled around the pole and growled before returning to the forest, forcing them to remain atop the pole for nearly an hour to stay out of its reach. The village is located in the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, where tiger sightings are a routine affair.
Some passers-by captured the incident on their mobile phones and posted the video on WhatsApp and Instagram. The video was widely shared on social media platforms. Users praised the presence of mind shown by the staff members in the dangerous situation.
