Elle Fanning, Julianne Moore to feature in ‘Moonsong’

Los Angeles: Actors Elle Fanning and Julianne Moore are set to feature in “Moonsong: A Life In Seven Verses”, which narrates the story of children’s book author Margaret Wise Brown.
The film is directed by Rebecca Miller and is produced by the filmmaker alongside Damon Cardasis through their production company Round Films. Filmmaker Martin Scorsese is attached as an executive producer, according to the entertainment news outlet Deadline.
Miller has previously directed a documentary series on Scorsese. She initially wanted to make a film on him, but after her research, she realised there was so much about the filmmaker, she had to make an entire series.
The film is based on the book “Margaret Wise Brown: Awakened by the Moon” by Leonard S. Marcus and tells the story of beloved children’s book author Margaret Wise Brown, whose classic books include Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny, originally published in the 1940s, according to the outlet.
Besides “Moonsong”, Fanning will feature in “The Nightingale” alongside her sister and actor Dakota Fanning. The film is set to release on March 19.
Moore will appear in Jessie Eisenberg’s “The Debut” for A24. It also features Eisenberg, Giamatti and Halle Bailey, among others.
It revolves aroundMona Friedman, a shy housewife who lands a role in a small community theater. She transforms into a zealous method actor and goes to extreme levels to protect her role.
