Nalgonda: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Saturday said sports help students come out mentally strong besides inculcating sportive spirit in them.

Launching Gunthakandla Savithramma Memorial Cricket tournaments in NG College Ground here, Jagadish  Reddy said parents should encourage their children to take up sporting activities besides education. “This also helps in personality development and inculcate systematic and disciplined behaviour in them,” he added.


Jagadish Reddy also caught many by surprise when he wielded the willow while inaugurating the tournament. TRS MLAs Kacherla Bhupal Reddy and Gadari Kishore, Nalgonda Municipal chairman Mandadi Saidi Reddy and others also participated in the programme.
