Hyderabad: A two-judge panel of the Telangana High Court comprising Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavali on Tuesday directed the Transport Commissioner to strictly ensure Gas cylinder Rules, 2004 are followed by the vehicles with LPG and CNG fittings. It also directed the authorities to take stern action against the violators. Consumer Rights Organization filed a petition challenging the action of authorities in not checking or controlling the large number of vehicles that are using LPG and CNG. The authorities said that Rules have been framed and Controller of explosives is ensuring strict compliance with regard to Gas Cylinder Rules, 2004. It is also stated that LPG and CNG testing stations are functional, the deviations and violators are taken care of. Accordingly, the panel disposed the case.
In another PIL, the panel granted time till Friday for the fruit vendors at Gadiannaram fruit market to shift their belongings. The Principal Secretary of agriculture and marketing Raghunandan Rao was present before the court today to submit report on demolition activity at the fruit market. The panel observed that after the vendors shift their belongings on Friday to Batasingaram , the super speciality hospital construction may commence immediately. The panel noted , it is unfortunate that the vendors are causing hindrances to the construction activity even after granting sufficient time. The panel adjourned the case by two weeks for further hearing.
Tej Mandi Analytics case:
Justice K Lakshman of the Telangana High Court directed the public prosecutor to submit details of specific allegations against Riddhi Kalapi Shah, Director of Tej Mandi Analytics Private Limited. The Madhapur Police booked a case against Anil Gandhi of Anugrah Analytics Pvt limited and Tej Mandi for cheating the depositors under section 406, 420 of IPC and section 5 of the The Telangana Protection of Depositors of Financial Establishments Act. The accused are alleged to have shown fake returns and sold the shares without knowledge of customers. The petitioner said she is the Director and she had invested Rs 100 crore induced by Anil Gandhi. The petitioner pleaded quashing of proceedings against her stating that there are no specific allegations against her. The judge adjourned the case by two weeks for further hearing.
