Hyderabad: The fee for Engineering and other professional programmes offered by the private colleges in the State will be revised soon and will be applicable for the next three academic years starting from the academic year 2022-23.
As the fee revision was due for the next three-year block period, the Telangana Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee (TAFRC) held a meeting here on Tuesday to discuss the modalities.
TAFRC Chairman Justice P Swaroop Reddy, Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) Chairman Prof. R Limbadri and TSCHE Vice Chairman Prof V Venkata Ramana, and Secretary to Education department Sandeep Kumar Sultania among other officials participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, officials explored the possibilities of issuing the notification for fee revision at the earliest. Considering the Covid-19 pandemic, the officials are likely to propose a nominal hike in the fee.
The TAFRC will take up the fee revision for professional courses including engineering, BPharmacy, BEd, MBA, MCA and others. The fee will be decided by the committee on the basis of the expenditure incurred by the college managements, facilities and infrastructure etc. The last fee revision was done in 2019 which concludes this academic year.
