Engineering student beaten to death by girlfriend’s parents in Ameenpur

A 20-year-old engineering student, Jyothi Sravan Sai, died after he was allegedly attacked by his girlfriend’s parents in Ameenpur. They reportedly invited him home on the pretext of discussing marriage and then assaulted him. Police have registered a case and begun investigation.

Sangareddy: In a shocking incident, the parents of a 19-year-old girl allegedly killed her lover after inviting him to their home on Wednesday on the pretext of discussing their marriage.

The victim, Jyothi Sravan Sai (20), was an engineering second-year student at Saint Peter’s Engineering College, Maisammaguda, and a resident of Qutbullapur. Sravan was in a relationship with Sreeja (19) from Isukabavi under Ameenpur police station limits.

According to Ameenpur police, Sreeja’s parents had earlier warned Sravan to stay away from their daughter. On Wednesday, they allegedly invited him to their residence claiming they wanted to talk about the marriage. Instead, they attacked and beat him, and he later succumbed to his injuries.

A case has been registered and investigation is on.
