Kothagudem: An engineering student died in a road accident at Mylaram cross roads near Kothagudem on Sunday.
The deceased, T Pavan Kumar (20) of Yerragunta in Chandrugonda mandal in the district was studying B Tech second year in a college at Sathupalli in Khammam district. He was killed on the spot when a speeding auto-rickshaw hit their motorcycle on which he was going to Paloncha from Kothagudem.
A pillion rider D Dayaprakash suffered serious injuries in the incident and was shifted to a hospital for treatment. A case was registered in connection with the incident at Laxmidevipally police station and investigation was underway, informed ASI Narayana.
