Hyderabad: Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar here on Saturday asked the BJP party workers to work hard for the victory of the two candidates contesting biennial elections to the Telangana State Legislative Council.

Delivering a talk on ‘Towards Building Atmanirbar Bharath and the Role of Graduates’ at the Hotel Marriott in Tank Bund, he said the senior advocate N Ramachander Rao, who was the only BJP MLC in the Council last time, raised various issues pertaining to the people in the Council.

This time, the party workers should work hard for the victory of the two candidates- Rao and G Premender Reddy. Rao and Reddy were contesting from Mahbubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda graduates’ constituencies respectively.

“These MLC elections are tough as we have to identify each voter in polling booth. Since the next 14 days are crucial for us, every party worker should work hard in identifying the voter and ensure that he supports our party,” he explained. Explaining the difference between BJP and other parties, Javadekar said the strength of BJP is workers, who always work with commitment. Both the party candidates should win the MLC elections to raise peoples’ issues in the Council.

In West Bengal also, the BJP would form the government this time, he said. Highlighting various schemes introduced by the NDA government for the welfare of the people in the country, Javadekar said the Central government focused on effective implementation of the law and order in the country and neutralised various terrorists groups. Referring to the rising fuel prices, he exuded confidence that the prices would come down soon.
