Warangal Rural: Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Wednesday promised that all the eligible persons would get double bedroom houses at Mylaram village.
Speaking after inaugurating 50 two-bedroom houses at Mylaram village in Rayaparthy mandal as a ‘Sankranthi gift’ to the beneficiaries, he said the construction of double bedroom houses in erstwhile Warangal district was almost complete. “The inauguration of these houses is getting delayed for various reasons,” he said, adding: “People used to suffer a lot in living in the small houses sanctioned by the government in the past. But the Chandrashekhar Rao government decided to construct houses with two bedrooms and a kitchen. This is a matter of pride to the beneficiaries.”
Stating that construction of the double bedroom houses by the State government has checked the corruption, he said that the state government was constructing double bedroom houses in the State at a cost of Rs 18,709 crore. “We are building 2,84,357 double bedroom houses in the State. While 1,18,238 houses are being built in rural villages, 1,66,119 houses are being constructed in urban areas. With the blessings of the Chief Minister, we are constructing 4,520 houses in Palakurthy constituency alone at a cost of Rs 227 crore,” Rao added.
