Ethanol tanker catches fire after collision on NH-167 in Mahabubnagar; one killed, two injured
A massive fire broke out on NH-167 at Pilligundu, Mahabubnagar, after an ethanol tanker collided with a truck on Thursday. The tanker driver was charred to death, while two others sustained serious injuries. Fire services took nearly three hours to control the blaze.

Mahabubnagar: One person was killed and two others sustained grievous injuries when a tanker carrying ethanol collided with another truck at Pilligundu, Hanwada on NH-167 on Thursday morning. A huge fire erupted after the collision and the ethanol tanker driver was charred to death, reports said.
The truck driver was rescued by locals, who alerted the police and the fire services department. Three fire tenders were deployed to douse the flames, and it took nearly three hours for personnel to bring the situation under control.
According to a preliminary investigation, the police said the accident occurred due to rash driving by the ethanol tanker driver, as per reports.
