Hyderabad: Have you ever aspired to wear an outfit that lends a commanding personality to its wearer? One apparel that would make one stand strong and tall amongst your peers is the blazer dress!
Fusing a formal dress with a regular blazer, the dress allows the wearer to look fashionable and comfortable giving a stylish alternative to the common blazer or suit pants. However, most often than not blazer dresses were often pricey and not in the reach of normal people.
It was these observations that led Kriti Gandhi, a fashion enthusiast, to begin innovative designing in her label ‘Posh Affair’ for the aspirational class often in tier 1 and 2 cities in India. Beginning almost a decade ago, she had her vision clear, which was “to offer classy, smart fashionable clothes at reasonable prices to a growing aspirational worldwide audience” through her label.
Kriti says, “I confess that I am a fashionista first, above anything else. It has always been fashion for me over everything else. However, I realised that in India, the price factor was very high and designers must adopt a democratic approach that reaches all alike. This was the mission on which our label Posh Affair was started and thankfully we are still continuing…”
The latest trend has been of blazer dresses, and they have been selling like hot cakes, especially among young women, who want to add a pair in their wardrobe for attending office meetings or when travelling abroad. Without a doubt, the dress commands attention and nails it.
