Hyderabad: The French auto manufacturer Renault recently introduced the all-new sub-4 meter compact SUV Kiger in India after much anticipation over the last few months. With a starting price of Rs. 5.45 lakh for the base manual, it goes all the way up to Rs. 9.55 lakh (ex-showroom) for the range-topping CVT trim. That makes the Kiger the most affordable subcompact SUV in the country currently. The Kiger competes with cars like Ford EcoSport,Hyundai Venue,Tata Nexon,Mahindra XUV300,Maruti Brezza and Nissan Magnite in the segment.

The headlamps are placed on the bumper and they get a very unique tri-pod design to it. On to the side profile, the blacked out ORVMs, roof with functional roof rails can be seen . The Kiger comes with impressive features for its price and has boot space of over 400 litres. The front grille is inspired from Triber, like a similar feature in Kwid the LED DRLs and turn indicators that are an extension of the grille. The RXE variant gets LED DRLs as standard along with C-shaped signature LED tail lamps. Kiger comes with a set of beautiful looking 16 inch alloy wheels that enhance the SUV look of the car.
The new Renault compact SUV comes in a choice of 6 colour options, Mahogany Brown,Caspian Blue, Moonlight Grey,Ice Cool White, Planet Grey and Radiant Red with Mystery Black Roof. The Radiant Red shade has been reserved for the top-end RXZ trim. There are three gearboxes to choose from – a 5-speed manual (standard), an AMT (NA petrol only) and a CVT automatic (turbo-petrol only).
Renault has already started accepting bookings and the deliveries are expected to commence soon. The Kiger has already started reaching dealerships and along with that Renault has also announced a list of official accessories that will be available with the compact SUV.
