Hyderabad: The Task Force police have reportedly arrested an excise department constable for allegedly harassing several people, including film celebrities.
As per available information, Constable Umamaheswara Rao visited the residences of celebrities and threatened them with arrests in fabricated drug cases, claiming to have found narcotics. He demanded money to free them from cases.
Although serving as a constable, he posed as an excise inspector, even projecting the false identity on his WhatsApp profile.
