ACB sleuths trapped a senior assistant at the excise and prohibition superintendent office in Khammam.

Khammam: ACB sleuths have trapped a senior assistant working at the excise and prohibition superintendent office in Khammam.

According to Y Ramesh the ACB Khammam range DSP, accused Somla demanded Rs 1500 from the complainant to provide a photocopy of license pertaining to Sai Krishna Bar and Restaurant to the complainant’s mother Vaddalapu Radhamma who did business seven years ago.


Somla was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe amount of Rs 1500 from the complainant. He was arrested and would be produced before additional sessions judge for SPE and ACB cases, Warangal.

ACB officials said that six cases have been registered within three months in erstwhile Khammam district in 2025. ACB DSP Ramesh asked the public to provide information to the ACB toll-free number 1064 if any public servant asks for a bribe.
